Pedestrian Murder Map for Connecticut

Victim-blaming is not the intended use for this page.

Instead, every time a driver hits a person, in this order, ask:

(1) how did street design contribute to this crash,
(2) how have decision-makers on all levels contributed to ongoing poor street design,
(3) how has the automotive industry contributed to the crash through vehicle design,
(4) how have lobbyists prevented reasonable reforms for BAC laws and automated enforcement,
(5) why was the motorist unable/unwilling to see the pedestrian/cyclist and avoid colliding with them?

We need to focus our efforts on changing systems and policies.

Discussing individual driver behavior is lazy and a way to maintain the status quo, which harms and kills.
