Thankful for frozen treats on 90° days

Thanks to these young people for serving as a collective pace car, deterring motorists from speeding down Park Street.

Thankful for the presence of other people, especially for when men (not pictured!) decide it’s somehow acceptable to continue an unwelcome and one-sided conversation with a stranger, who linger even after being told that the conversation is over. It’s reassuring to see other people around who could potentially help if the situation warrants it.

Thankful for events that include free Covid vaccinations.

Thankful for live music

Thankful for the more thoughtfully landscaped area around Corning Fountain in Bushnell Park.

Thankful for ongoing outdoor community events where you can catch up with friends and neighbors while stocking up on fresh, locally grown peaches and blueberries

Thankful for free local bus service on the weekend — at least during academic summer.

Thankful for people who keep their dogs on leashes in public.
