WOW!! Is this the house at the corner of Hamilton and Pope Park Highway (forgot the number)? I use to love walking in that area and taking a rest at the little park. It would be a nice place for a performance. We use to go there in the fall to pick Bittersweet for a fall arrangement.
That is precisely where that house is. What color was it before? Light gray? Dusty rose? Pale pink? It was some pale color if I recall, and even though I have been by there many times, this vibrant paint job has mostly erased my memory of what it was before. I love the colors. One of my rooms is painted that shade of blue.
That park (Pope Park West) needs more people to love it. It’s loud from the highway, but I’ve seen rabbits there and red-winged blackbirds.
I think it was a light grey. We almost moved to that area to one of the apartment buildings years ago. I always thought that the area would make a wonderful artistic enclave. Maybe when NYC continues to dump out. I love it when folks paint their houses bright colors.
