Three boarded up buildings on Jefferson and Washington Streets, all owned by Hartford Hospital, have been vacant for years. All three have officially been classified as blighted properties by the City of Hartford on the 2016-2017 Blight Survey Map.
These buildings could be rehabbed and used as housing for hospital employees, which would help reduce congestion on surrounding streets. They could be sold, renovated, and rented to the general population. Or they can, like so many other buildings in Hartford, be allowed to fall victim to neglect.

It’s probably a way Hartford Hospital holds land for later expansion 🤔

Except “probably” = “exactly”

And a beauty this one is! I seriously doubt the Historic Commission is going to let them demolish it.

Is this in Frog Hollow? Hmmm that blight grant – might encourage them?

I’m not sure if it’s considered Frog Hollow or South Green…right on the boundary.
