The Oracles, a community tarot project, had its opening reception at ArtSpace on Saturday. At the reception, visitors could create their own tarot cards and clip them to the wall, and for a fee, they could get a tarot reading.
Dawn Manogue, calling herself the “luminary,” put together this exhibit as part of her work toward earning a Master’s Degree in Integrative Health and Healing. The “oracles” are 22 local artists chosen to recreate the tarot’s Major Arcana. The artists include: Breck MacNab, Dawn Fusco, Jonathan DeHoyos, Tao Labossiere, Sarah Paolucci, Caresse Amenta, Thea Wilcox Ciciotte, H.L. Groen, Eric Groenstein, Robert de Matteo, Andria Alex, Leslie Simoes, Amy Labossiere, Rachel Sclare, Eric Stegmaier, Gwyneth Amy, LB Muñoz, John Toomey, Clinton Deckert, Nathan Markee, Jason Werner, and Roberta Mockus.
