My favorite books as a kid were mostly almanacs and things like the Guinness Book of World Records and Ripley’s Believe It or Not. So, it makes sense that one of my favorite reads on the internet is kind of a localized version of those. Connecticut Museum Quest covers more than museums. Want to know where the geographic center of Hartford is? Where is the Elephantiest Rock? Need a labyrinth? Trash Museum? The Coolest Cemetery? Selectman’s Stones? You know you’ve been at a Council meeting at one time or another and asked why there didn’t seem to be any present. And possibly related, if you need to know where Satan is in Connecticut, Steve writes about that as well.
If you’re being uncreative and mopey about how there is “nothing to do,” and are frankly sick of being directed to go to a bar or major attraction, go see some of the more unusual things Connecticut has to offer.
