Here is your curated Hartford event calendar for November. What makes the list? Events that I would either attend or recommend to a good friend. That’s it.
ADD TO CALENDAR
- TREE PLANTING: Those who would like to help add more trees to Pope Park West (located on Pope Park Hwy #4) should plan to meet there from 10 AM – 1 PM on Friday, November 5, 2021. Volunteers are advised to wear closed-toe shoes, which at this time of year, you should probably be wearing anyway. Contact KNOX to sign up. Free.
- ART OPENING: The Hartford Public Library’s ArtWalk gallery is holding an opening reception for Wladyslaw Prosol’s exhibit of paintings. November 5, 2021 from 5:30-7:30 PM. Free.
- CAITLIN REESE LIVE ALBUM RECORDING: Just like it says. She will be recording her comedy album at Sea Tea Comedy Theater, November 13 at 7 PM and at 9 PM. Tickets are $15. Masks required, because Covid ain’t no joke.
- MENTAL HEALTH TOUR: Take a guided tour of “Common Struggle, Individual Experience,” a new exhibit at the Connecticut Historical Society. The tour starts on November 20 at 11 AM and lasts about 45 minutes. Registration is strongly suggested. If you’re more free range and prefer to guide yourself around, just show up during regular hours; the exhibit is up through October 2022. Admission is $12.
- HARVEST MARKET: Vendors and live music inside the greenhouse at KNOX headquarters (75 Laurel Street), 10 AM to 2 PM on Saturday, November 20, 2021. Get your Thanksgiving ingredients and see all the people you haven’t over the last year. Free.
- CRAFTED: Local craft fair at 30 Arbor Street, November 21, from 11 AM to 3 PM. Free.
As always, check with each venue to confirm details of event have not changed and to see what kind of Covid protocols are in effect.
