Here is the curated event calendar for August. As always, check with the venue/organizer to ensure that details have not changed:
ADD TO CALENDAR
- BOOKS ON PRATT: Street fair featuring local authors. Expect poetry readings and live music. Free. August 7, 2021 from 12-5 PM on Pratt Street. This event is organized by Barnes & Noble UConn Hartford Bookstore and Hartford.com
- BLUES OUTSIDE: Hugh Holmes, Jr., AKA Professor Harp, will be singing and playing harmonica at the Connecticut Historical Society on August 19, 2021, from 6-7 PM. Bring your own seating and a picnic dinner, or buy refreshments off the food truck. In the event of rain, the concert will move indoors. This is free.
- THE NEW MOSAIC: Not the old mosaic. Think of it as a local music supergroup. Fusion of jazz, r&b, and hip-hop. They’ll be performing at the pavilion in Bushnell Park as part of the (also new) Hopgood/Lord Summer Music Series. This is August 25, 2021 from 5:30-7:30 PM. Free.
- FREE MARKET: Do you have items in good condition that others might appreciate? Are you looking for clothes, books, or other goods? The Really Really Free Market will be open on August 29, 2021 from 12-4 PM at the Johnson-Stewart Community Center (127 Martin Street).
