No difficulty finding people outside whether it was sunny or raining.
Yes, even in downtown on a weekend during the pandemic in the rain.
Even on a playground in the rain (not photographed).
While mapping out the locations of vehicle collisions with cyclists and pedestrians in Hartford, I had many thoughts. One that kept coming back, though, was this: How do the folks calling this place a “Ghost Town” explain the sheer number of people who get hit by cars? Even outside of Monday-Friday 5 PM, even during a pandemic?
By now it should be clear those folks are talking out of school.
Take for instance this weekend. While helping a friend do yard work in a residential area, I could have done nothing but snap pictures of people walking by. Since I was busy raking, that didn’t happen. Maybe next time I’ll slack off.
