There continues to be silence from the City of Hartford when it comes to progress of the free WiFi that was supposed to be available in Frog Hollow and the Northeast neighborhood by the end of 2020.
For folks waiting in limbo, there is an option that might help you work remotely and get the kids online, reliably, for school in the meantime. The Hartford Public Library is now making hotspots something that city library cardholders can borrow for three months.
You need to be 18+ and sign a waiver in person. Other than that, it seems there are no restrictions for who can use this.
For more information, see the library’s website or just go to the main branch.
