Over this past week I have seen no fewer than three people wearing shorts outside; none of them were jogging.

I watched a child riding a scooter (not a glorified moped) while warbling. This individual’s skills exceeded that of most drivers and the scooter had a headlight.

I saw a man standing on the street corner, repeatedly yelling “GO TO HELL,” presumably at passing cars. He had admirable volume and stamina. Having watched endless people blow through red lights while the pedestrian walk signal is on, I can understand how a person gets motivated to display this rage, though I can’t say what his reasons were.

I’ve walked by numerous curbside vehicle repair sessions. Witnessed a house renovation project that involved rolls of carpet being chucked out of a window to the sidewalk below.

Weekdays and weekend. Morning, afternoon, and evening. Bright skies and snow storms. Each and every time, I had to wear a mask because there were people to pass on the sidewalk.

Does it look like the man in the pic below is putting in some effort to walk? That’s because no path was cleared through the park following the nor’easter.

I realize this photo does not show the complete fabulousness of her backpack, but it was very sparkly.
