Those who are car-free are not going to benefit from sprawling “food pantry” events at stadiums, but there are other options better suited to those living in cities.
One is the help yourself style pantry open 24/7. They tend to be stocked with non=perishables, but occasionally produce and other items, like toilet paper, make their way into the mix.
There are at least seven Little Free Pantries (or whatever people feel like calling them) in Hartford:
- 202 Laurel Street
- 575 Zion Street
- 111 Hillside Avenue
- 460 New Britain Avenue
- 41 Evergreen Avenue
- 70 North Beacon Street
- 968 West Boulevard
Are there others?

Thank you, Kerri! I have some things to put in one or more of these.
