Technically, Connecticut Trails Day 2020 is June 6 and 7, but since we are living in a time of upended or flexible schedules (for some), go ahead and celebrate the natural world every day.
There are no official organized hikes this time around, but the outdoors has never been closed.
Not sure where to begin? Connecticut Forest & Park Association has compiled a list of trails statewide. If you are new to hiking, check out their tips while on that page.
Local to Hartford? Try walking along Cemetery Brook or exploring the trails in Keney Park.
Living elsewhere in Connecticut? Visit Fort Shantok, Cedar Mountain, East of the River Wethersfield, or locations in the northeast corner.
Think outside of the State Parks, or go early in the day.
