We hope that a side effect of events like Night Fall and Winterfest is that people break with their ideas about what times of year they should be outside. It seems that after Labor Day, most are content to retreat indoors until Memorial Day. A short walk through Elizabeth Park and the vicinity showed a few things folks might be missing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Roses and many other flowers are still in bloom in October. Not just one rose every ten minutes either. Unlike June, when the garden is packed with visitors, there is more elbow room at this time of year.

 

 

 

 

 

The area near the pond has been temporarily transformed into a creepy graveyard. When we arrived, workers were setting up the seasonal display.
