Since the beginning, Real Hartford has aimed to show Hartford in its natural lighting. We don’t have a history of showing up only when someone has been murdered or when there have been murmurs of political corruption. We have been, ever since day once, in the city’s various neighborhoods, on any given day. That’s easy to do when the creators live here.
In Your Neighborhood is a recurring photo series that involves us walking or biking through a different section of the city. It shows what is — whether it casts Hartford in a positive light or not.
Why walking or biking? How can you take in the surroundings while moving fast and in a separated space?

Brilliant photos, as per usual. Where is the statue featured in #12 & the blonde lady in #15?
Kerri Provost
The blonde lady is graffiti at Heaven Skate Park.
The beggar statue is in front of Christ Church Cathedral. It was there in 2014, removed, and has now re-appeared — http://www.realhartford.org/2014/10/05/jesus-as-beggar-sculpture-in-hartford/
