We drove this route in the dark about a month ago, when all those lights were lit up. Christmas music played on the radio. Olivia who is four exclaimed “Oh wow!” Her 20 month old brother pointed and said “Ehhrrgghhh!” But your photos made me think of when there was actually skating where the electronic and also real waterbirds swim today. I thought of a few times I played golf at ‘Goodie’. I would hit one great drive and then hack and chop the rest of the long way. That was a really nice visual essay.

  I think Olivia and her brother’s reactions summed up how those lights are interpreted. It’d be nice to see some ice skating on natural bodies of water.
