With food vendor trucks parked outside and a greenhouse filled with tables of squash, potatoes, turnips, carrots, and more, it might seem that the fourth annual Harvest Market at KNOX was solely about satisfying one’s immediate hunger and prepping for Thanksgiving.
But, this was also a chance to plan ahead by getting a CSA share with Adamah Farm (or just sampling its pickles and jellies).
More than the food, the alpaca petting zoo, or the face painting, this is a community event.
You might come to purchase only one item, but find that two hours pass before you leave because you continuously run into people you know.
You have until 2 p.m. today. Otherwise, wait until next year.

All those piggies went to market and bought home some fine things. Nice to see you out and about at our wonderful Harvest Fair in Frog Hollow. The Butternut Squash was delicious we had it at lunch today.

Wish these happened more often, right before all major holidays.

Yes, I have often thought that it was one of the best fairs for some reason and wished it happened more. Its a long wait from year to year. Just wish more interesting vendors would come. I missed the goat soap from Lyric farms so I ordered on line. Next up this coming Sunday is the Szopka Festival at the Polish Home. Never miss that one as I love to see the creativity of the young folks and visit with the woman who makes baskets and objects out of pine needles and has some very lovely pot holders. Almost time for a long winter nap.
