According to the iQuilt website, the “Bushnell Plaza Sculpture Garden” was supposed to be open for six months after its installation in September. It may be time to revisit what open means.
At nights the area is barricaded, but this has also been the case on some days, including today. The space remains almost as under-utliized as when it was simply chained off. If someone wants to look at the works by ten artists up close, she has to guess when the plaza will be open to the public, or, she has to be willing to climb over the barricades.

I’m down, let’s climb the fence!

Bushnell plaza is such a massive design failure. I believe it only exists as a roof structure over the Bushnell Towers parking garage. Who was it who likened it to an “alien landing pad”?

Can we rename it “Plaza of Meh”. So boring.
