As expected, the deal was voted through, with no nay votes but three abstentions: Larry Deutsch (Working Families), David MacDonald (Democrat), and Raúl De Jesús, Jr. (Democrat).
Before casting his vote, De Jesús said the serenity prayer in Spanish, then English.
As it turns out, there may be issues with part of the deal because of confusion regarding the Hartford Redevelopment Agency’s vote.
Later, we’ll share details on last night’s grandstanding from City Council members, along with a report on who respects resident input and who slammed those with whom they disagreed. What’s that cliche? It’s not whether you win or lose, but how you play the game?
