The parade isn’t until Sunday, but vendors are already out on Park Street.
The Greater Hartford Puerto Rican Day Parade, dedicated this year to the family of Julio Lozada, is scheduled to begin at noon on Wawarme Avenue. It will turn north onto Wethersfield Avenue, continue on Main, and turn down Gold Street, heading into Bushnell Park, where the Festival del Coqui will be taking place until 8pm.
The festival will feature food and music, with Frankie Negron highlighting.
