Does it have to be in Hartford proper? Somebody on Facebook pointed out that there is a “Soldiers’ Field” cemetery next to Keney park, but according to Google Maps the cemetery is across the line in Windsor. Of course, the Hartford “Parks and Cemetery” division of DPW lists its activities as including “Burials in 4 active cemeteries including Soldier’s Field…” so there seems to be some confusion.
It definitely could! It’s not something you’d notice unless standing right next to it, but it’s on a busy street. Not sure if it got any maintenance right before Memorial Day.
The stone marker is at the intersection of New Britain Avenue and Chandler Street. It’s about 50 yards from my house. Most of the plants surrounding the marker came from my garden.

Cedar Hill?

It’s not at Cedar Hill or any cemetery, but I commend you for being bold enough to guess.

This is in Hartford proper and is not part of any cemetery.

Elizabeth Park?
Kerri Provost
It’s not in the West End

I have no idea where it is but it sure could use a bit of a spruce up.

Yes!
Congrats on winning this week’s game. Enjoy your 24 hours of smugness.
(For the curious, just walk on New Britain Avenue and look at the green when you come to the Chandler Street triangle.)
