We get it. There’s still snow and ice all over the streets, making parking difficult. We have scratched our heads over this. After all, the whole idea of a parking ban is to allow plows to remove snow from curb-to-curb, correct?
But that third car down is just plain wrong. The two in front were half-parked on the remaining snow, on spots that had been driven on for days. These were also out in the street, but far enough over to not block up traffic unless an extra wide vehicle were to pass through.
There were other on-street spots available on this block and on the next. There were spots in the Arch Street Tavern lot.
We walked back in the morning to double check if maybe the lane jogged out in a way that allowed this kind of maneuver. Nope.
Did the car die there? Did the driver just give up on navigating around all the pot holes? Who knows.
