Political Director of Connecticut Working Families Party New Deputy Chief of Staff

Mayor Segarra has announced the appointment of Kennard Ray to the Deputy Chief of Staff position, and Henry Burgos to Director of Human Resources and Labor Relations.

Both Ray and Burgos are Hartford natives who will begin work on Monday following the upcoming holiday.

Before serving as Director of Human Resources and Labor Relations at Capital Community College, Burgos was the Principal Human Resources Specialist for the State of Connecticut Department of Developmental Services for a decade.

Ray’s position is as liaison to City Council, community organizations, and residents, working alongside the Mayor’s Chief of Staff and leading project management, policy development, and day-to-day community relations through the Office of Constituent Services.
