Tony Award-winning actor Anika Noni Rose will be in Hartford this Saturday for a meet-and-greet following the advance screening of The Watsons Go to Birmingham.
The film, set in 1963, is about a family who goes into the South on a family vacation and learns how different of a world this is from their lives in Michigan. It is based on the book The Watsons Go To Birmingham — 1963, and the film is rated PG.
Charter Oak Cultural Center will screen the movie on September 14th at 7pm. This and the meet-and-greet are free to attend.
