At 4:30 this afternoon there will be a candlelight vigil at the chapel on the Trinity College campus. A message from Trinity’s president indicates that a member of its alumni community has suffered a loss.
Two University of Hartford alumni — Nelba Marquez-Greene and Jimmy Greene — lost their daughter Ana in the violence on Friday. Rachel D’Avino, a teacher’s aide and graduate of the University of Hartford, also died last week.
Tonight at the University of Hartford there will be a benefit concert to support the Newtown families. The Hartt Trombone Ensemble will perform from 5-6:30pm in the Fuller Center’s Millard Auditorium. The suggested donation of $5 will be collected at the door.
