We used that area for a downtown scavenger hunt once. I really don’t get the logic of throwing down all this concrete and then, after uglifying the area, telling people they can’t even use it.
Years ago I use to cool my feet in that fountain. Oh to be young again with hot feet. Now that plaza would be the place if that silly iQuilt becomes a reality to take over and do something with. And I’m not talking about another piece of art that sits there so the cozy up folks can ga ga over.
I had a dream last night that the city was art from one end to the other. Or should I say from the Bushnell to the River. Damn didn’t I wake up with a tooth ache, an eye strain, a backache from walking and a neck crick, GAD it was like being in a all the time carnival, like too too much cotton candy and taffy. No, maybe leave the forbidden zone alone Let it be a place just of rest and heat and a fountain to cool our feet. ha!!!

Yes, indeed.
Next to the perpetually cordoned off plaza.

Once on the Gold St. side, I saw a kid on bmx bike 180 the whole stair set. It was awesome.
And, that’s why those stairs shouldn’t be cordoned off.

I’m sad because I actually knew this one and was so excited to finally get my bragging rights.
Richard
Ah gee, finally I know where a place this place is and Brendan gets there first.
Kerri Provost
And here I was, thinking this one might be way too obscure since it’s sort of hidden in plain sight thanks to the forbidden plaza.
