Brendan
charter oak cultural center
which brick building? the garden in front of charter oak or the apartment building next door?
kerri
Yes.
What is taking up most of the picture?
Jane
It’s a pretty old house that is now an office. I thought for a lawyer?
Kerri Provost
The thing with a sun painted on it? Because that would be fantastic if a lawyer lived there.
Jane
haha I was talking about the brick building, totally misunderstood. I do not know what this is, have always wondered!
Kerri Provost
And here I was thinking this was too obvious.
Tom
It looks like a fabric structure–a tent? A sukkah? Why does that ring a bell?
Kerri Provost
It is a sukkah!
dave r
Its not a sukkah. Its an interfaith project that was created by Hartford Catholic Worker and the Charter Oak Cultural Center in response to the controversy surrounding the “WTC MOSQUE”…or as I like to call it, the “cube of tolerance” 🙂
Kerri Provost
Shit.
So, I guess Dave wins the super bonus of knowing that it is not a sukkah. But to be fair, it is sukkah-ish. And pretty.
Kerri Provost
For those wondering, dave r has some expertise in what is inside of and outside of charter oak cultural center.
Damn. I can’t believe it’s not sukkah!
Brendan
So, who wins? I couldn’t figure out all today if I should be smug or not.
dave r
I win all the things!!
Kerri Provost
Brendan, I think you have a surplus of smug. It’s time to share.
