Instead of jogging this morning I decided to pedal a few radii around Bushnell Park to find this place.
I spent like 3 hours making circles in the hot sun. I asked state troopers for help. I fell down in a parking lot behind a building. I went to and fro, hither and yon. From the Convention Center to Aetna. I found NADA.
I actually really like the Bushnell
Tower(s) but it would be a better total composition if they had actually built both of them as planned. As is, it appears overly tall and skinny.
Damian
Bushnell Park, maybe? ‘Neath the poison ivy, for sure.
Kerri Provost
Not Bushnell Park, but you are in the right vicinity. Think five minute walking radius.
Damian
Baby Pope?
Kerri Provost
That would be some crazy speedwalking! It’s not in any park…or at least I’m pretty sure that it is not considered a park.
Damian
I think the Little River curves near the LOB, but I’m at a loss.
Kerri Provost
It does, but then it has to curve again somewhere else.
How well do you know the Little River’s curves?
Damian
I can keep guessing, but I don’t know the Little River’s curves very well.
Damian
I was curious before, but now I’m really curious.

IT DOES NOT EXIST.
Kerri Provost
Falling down in a parking lot is a technique that I not only approve of but endorse. It builds character.
Hint: It’s next to something I find VERY ugly. At least it is from the outside.
Damian
What if I fell on my chin and bit my cheek? What kind of character is that?
I don’t know what you find very ugly. The viaduct is gross but does not have an inside, so to speak.
I will ponder on this.
Damian
Brutalism is often considered ugly. Is it near the Bushnell Tower?
Kerri Provost
It is. If you walk along Wells Street from the library toward the park, this is on the right, before Wells Street turns.
Damian
I’m trying to feel smug now but it ain’t happening; I struggled too much and fell in the hot sun.
Maybe it’ll kick in later.
I passed by this place and *looked* several times. Maybe it’s just overgrown with the poison leaves now. Quien sabe? Not me.
Thanks for the fun game.
Kerri Provost
Find a traffic jam and whiz by them on your bike. With the price of gas right now, I find this to be a recipe for insta-smug.
Josh
So, do you find the Bushnell Tower ugly, or that curved one next door? Or the parking lot across the street? or the MDC? just curious
Kerri Provost
All of the above.
Josh
I actually really like the Bushnell

Is this in th Ancient Burial ground on Main Street?
Kerri Provost
It’s not, but I get why you’d think that. There is similar foliage around the border of the Ancient Burial ground.
MPG
Definitely not liking the gleam of that Poison Ivy
