The fundraiser inclusive of poor folk is back!
Some fundraising events have ticket prices that cost more than a pair of new jeans and they don’t even offer anything beyond a few decent appetizers. The HartFEAST is not one of those.
For ten bucks (or less, if you can not afford that) you can get a full meal of soup, bread, cheese, and beverages (beer, wine, and non-alcoholic). Having attended the first one, I can attest that a meal like that would cost at least double in a restaurant, and then some by adding drinks. So, for those who are less than charitable, just think of it has an inexpensive dinner.
For the bleeding heart do-gooders, the purpose of this event is to raise funds for Hartbeat Ensemble‘s production, Flipside.
HartFEAST will be April 14th at 7pm in the Hollander Building at 410 Asylum Street.

This sounds awesome, I wish I were going to be in town! I have been searching for these community building meals, are there any other of them in the near future?

There should be one happening in June, and it’ll follow the model of the first HartFEAST in which several project ideas are presented and diners vote on which one they’d like their donations to support. When the details of this are worked out I’ll post more information.

Awesome! Thanks!
