I see smokestacks in the mosaic. But who uses smokestacks Downtown nowadays?
The yellow smokestack plant on Capitol which butts up against 84 is technically in Frog Hollow.
It’s a nod to Hartford’s industrial past. It’s a brick oven pizzeria. It is such a mystery!
I came back to guess the shoe repair shop on Pratt; puppies love to eat shoes!
I see now that it’s Trumbull Kitchen.
I misunderstood that puppy clue to such a degree that I almost feel a burning shame.
Anyway, thanks for the compliment comparing me to Brendan. I thought his one word meta-guess with no punctuation was smart, too! Gracefully insouciant, even.
Thanks for putting on a fun game and fielding all the guesses!

Hartford
Kerri Provost
Smart ass.
Yes, it’s in Hartford. It’s Downtown. It’s outside. Be more specific.
Stephen Grout
Bus station? Just a guess.
Kerri Provost
No, but good guess because they do have these this type of artwork in subway and bus stations.
Funny thing is I’ve walked by this place probably hundreds of times, never been inside, but noticed this art last month.

I have no idea what it’s purpose is, but it’s definitely not on those smokestacks (which, when I was a kid, reminded me of ice cream cones).
Frankly, I’m surprised Jordan didn’t guess this yet. My money was riding on her as being the winner.

If it makes it any easier, this art is close to the ground.

So it’s at just the right height for a child to admire… this is Where the Sidewalk Begins!
What would Shel Silverstein do?
Kerri Provost
Shel Silverstein would probably do his best thinking on a full stomach.
That was a hint.
Puppies could admire this as well.
Damian
Puppies and food makes me think of 101 Dalmatians and Hook & Ladder which is South Green.
Maybe near Mad Dawgs?
I do my best thinking in fresh air, like way out past where the sidewalk ends. I’ll come back to this later.

Are you related to Brendan? I see some similarities in blog comment trends.
It’s by neither place, unless you mean within a two mile radius.
The guessing is getting better though.
I suppose this shows which restaurant owners don’t read this blog.

If I didn’t take the picture myself, I would’ve had no clue what this was.
Kerri Provost
It’s Trumbull Kitchen.
Also, this week is the Taste of Hartford Restaurant Week:
