This morning I was greeted with one of the best surprises ever — the area of Capitol Avenue between Laurel and Forest (AKA The Stretch of Sketch AKA The Corridor of Hope) was cleaned up. There was still litter on the sidewalk, but I mean that the real annoying mess was cleaned up. The tires, toilet, boards, and random other large bits of illegally dumped trash were removed from behind the fence. A dangerous looking shack was even removed. And the area, with all the junk gone, is actually kind of pretty.

Will have to go and see it on Thursday. Alvin and I need to do some picture taking and will be out and about. Isn’t it a pretty area. Maybe it could be some type of a park, after all that is where the bridge to no where is.
I never was in the shack (I did peep in once) as I was afraid that some animal would jump me but I hope no one was planing on using it for the winter. We always have to be mindful of the maybe’s when we go into a area and build up or tear down to our liking. But who will remember the shack, only one who would make it a shelter. I wonder if the big rabbit with the cotton tail liked to hide out in there?
Kissy kiss kiss.

I wondered about how stable of a structure it was. I never went in either.

Great news! hopefully the city will now be better about keeping the bike lanes through there clean. I have called them many, many times to clean all the broken glass and trim the eye level low hanging tree branches in that area.
