I’ve recently added some fresh blogs to the blogroll, but since some readers are getting this on a feed reader, they don’t get to see that. Here’s what’s new (or new to me):
A Few Queers on the Prowl is a little of this, a little of that. There’s “poli-ticks, art revolution, and other good things.”
New London Commercial Fishermen’s Blog has nothing to do with New London or commercial fishing insofar as I can tell. So far, the content deals mostly with biking and other modes of transportation, but also has altered images and an informative post about ferret art.
MaNishtana declares that “black jew is the new black.” The highlight of this blog is the urban parsha. Parsha is the weekly Bible portion that’s read and discussed. His urban parsha breaks it down for you. Here’s a clip:
stay running with G and y’all can stay sipping patron on ice and milk and honey and all that ish. but let them next god dudes spit game at you, and y’all gots to bounce. tell your kids to respect the bible game and post up his words on your crib and things’ll stay popping, he’ll make it rain for y’all, and none of them other wankstas will have a swagger like y’alls
He admits to being challenged by these interpretations already, but I hope he continues.
I’m not entirely sure if Copenhagen Cycle Chic is supposed to do anything beyond document what people where while biking. If that’s all it is, it’s fine by me. Someone alerted me to this site after I was bemoaning the troubles of biking in a skirt.
Another biking blog is My Bike Lane. I might take a cue from them and begin photographing egregious bike lane violations. They track the number of violations that each vehicle makes. There’s even police (without lights on, apparently not conducting business) pictured being parked in bike lanes.
