If you’re just tuning in, PBS describes the form of entertainment this way:
Vaudeville was made of comedians, singers, plate-spinners, ventriloquists, dancers, musicians, acrobats, animal trainers, and anyone who could keep an audience’s interest for more than three minutes.
January 30th is Vaudeville Night at La Paloma Sabanera Coffee House, from 6-10pm. Snacks and refreshments will be available for purchase, but there’s no cover charge. The ad for this on Facebook says:
experimental musicians, films, vaudeville-inspired skits, jazz + poetry performances followed by 2 hours of open stage + mic. + local art and writing for sale
One of the performers will be C.S. Carrier, author of After Dayton.
