What Would Jesus Buy? will be playing at Real Art Ways from Dec.14-20th, though if a film is popular, RAW might extend its run. Produced by Morgan Spurlock (Supersize Me), WWJB documents Reverend Billy’s campaign against consumerism.
Holiday Festival: Saturday December 15th, from 11-4 at the Old State House. I love the Old State House at this time of year. Their museum is always great, but they add on with other craft vendors. In the room where I’m typing there are two framed maps and photographs that came from the OSH. During the Holiday Festival, they will be having a silhouette artist available for people who would like that kind of personalized artwork.
Butler-McCook House: through January 6th the historical house will be decorated for the 19th century holidays. The garden out back probably does not look like much at this time of year, but it’d be worth a return trip when it’s warmer to see it.
Ebeneeza: A Hartford Holiday Carol will be performed at the Charter Oak Cultural Center for the entire month of December.
