Pedestrian Bridge over I-91: Access from Riverside Park or the weird gravel lot on Pequot Street. The fencing will obstruct most photos, so if documenting this is your goal, another location may be better suited. You won’t be the only person using this spot, though you will have more
Balcony or Rooftop of a Downtown Skyscraper: Go make friends.
North Meadows Bird Sanctuary (I did not tell you to trespass): It does not smell, but there are mosquitoes and this is not easy to get to.
The Island: If the water is low, it’s not an island and you can walk or bike to it from one of the Riverfront trails. If the water is high, you’ll need a boat.
Where else?
Remember: fireworks are pretty terrible for the environment, so maybe we could compromise by settling on allowing the city and town shows, and refraining from lighting off personal fireworks every night of the week in neighborhoods that are already experiencing high rates of asthma.
