Despite hundreds of signatures supporting the family’s right to dwell in 68 Scarborough, the City of Hartford today filed a lawsuit for a “willful” violation of zoning.
Calling this move to evict residents “an attack on all families,” the family, along with their lawyer, will be holding a press conference at City Hall on Wednesday at 1 p.m. This will take place in the Function Room on the second floor.

The word Family by it’s very definition has changed over the years. Who are we to judge someone else’s definition of their family? I have known people that grew up together and would die for each other, and I would definitely consider them to be family, while on the other hand I have know people related by blood who never helped each other and only hurt each other. I do not think any outside source, government, town council, etc. Should have any say who or what or how they decide makes up their family.

Thinking to my days as an organizer, when we spent so much time and effort trying to get the city to attempt to enforce its code to correct health and safety problems. Apparently code enforcement only happens in rich neighborhoods. And only when there are no health or safety problems.
