The committee meeting (starting at 5pm) that will take place before the public hearing is open to the public too, correct?
Kerri Provost
The committee meeting at 5pm is supposed to feature a presentation on this issue, so it should be open to the public.
Bruce rubenstein
There is no point in having the meeting with a presentation that we have not seen until the display it there. Nor is there any point on a public hearing when the full documentation has not been released to the public, with enough time for the public to read and digest it.The meeting and public hearing is a sham and a joke and shows no regard for the citizens who foot the bills.
Kerri Provost
In what way is it a sham? Is this not in line with what the public has been asking for — opportunity for input — for the past few months?
Bruce rubenstein
No Kerri,in order for the public,s input to have any meaning at all,the information should have been released with enough time for the public to digest it.As it stands now,ant comment about the deal at the public hearing will have little currency since the comment from the public will not be as a result of any released final information.his sham of a hearing should be cancelled until the information has been released to the public.
Bruce rubenstein
Since stellar Deller has still not released the final figures either to the Council or the public,it would appear that no concrete discussion of the figures about this terrible deal will make any sense. We can go there and praise Mayor Caviar for bringing such wonderful inclusiveness and transparency to the citizens with regard to this deal .I for one will praise Mayor Caviar for his candor and truthfulness about the development of DONO from the inception until now.

I placed an FOI request yesterday for documents related to Downtown North Redevelopment. It has not yet been acknowledged by Mr. Deller.
